| As you can see, I have not updated for a while. This was for a variety of reasons.
But now I have returned to the blogging world.
An old blog has been revived, and three others have been born. For simplicity, all four are on Wordpress.
Anyway, to look at them, click on the links below:

| Could have been worse...
We'll Take It At least the run of consecutive defeats has come to an end. It was a fair result overall in my opinion; ManUre were the better team in the first half, we edged it in the second half. The man pictured above, Martin Laursen, was man of the match for me, and I felt Gareth Barry and Stilyian Petrov both played very well. In all fairness, I think everyone at least did okay.
Of course, the other reason we will take it is that we are now into the top 4, thanks to ManCiteh beating Arsenal. I think we can stay there, but whether or not we will remains to be seen. Obviously the longer Arsenal continue to have their 'woes' can only be of benefit to us!
The Hitman
No not that one...
...yeah, that bloke, sticking one on Malignaggi.
For the third consecutive week I made a nice little profit. Nothing major, but a few quid is better than losing, eh! Hatton was a class above, and proved he is clearly still the best light-welterweight on the planet. It should set up a superfight with Oscar De La Hoya at Wembley next year if he can overcome Manny Pacquiao in a fortnight. I'd love to see it, although my only worry would be the size; it just feels like De La Hoya would probably be too much physically.
Still though, for now let us just enjoy walking in a Hatton Wonderland... ALL TOGETHER NOW... "There's only one, Ricky Hatton"...

A Ramble
Well, you didn't think I was gonna let that go by did ya... I thoroughly enjoyed the Prizefighters before the Vegas stretch of last nights show.. The final in particular was great stuff ... Also on the undercard, Matthew Hatton put on a career-best performance... Looks like Floyd Mayweather Snr is making an impact... Can you yawn in your sleep?... Did anyone watch the first series of Breaking Bad? I thought it was brilliant... I find it mind-boggling that my favourite female wrestler Gail Kim is still a free agent... I've been very ill while I have been off ... I am getting fed up of being ill now... I had a bloody flu-jab as well, seems a bit pointless now ... I can not believe the Christmas Do is less than a fortnight away. What's the bloody point? May as well combine it with Halloween! Absolute nonsense... Mind you, I am sure the idea of me going to a Christmas Do with relatively good drink offers on is scary enough for some people, so the Halloween factor is already sort of there ... Did you hear about the maths teacher that went mad at the blackboard? Yeah, he did a number on it... Sorry ... Gotta say, I forgot how much of an annoying, whining little shit that Christiano Ronaldo can be... ManUre don't seem as annoying as they used to be but they still have a team full of vile people... I mean, Rio Ferdinand? That bloke is an excellent example of what is wrong with professional football today ... So, 'they see' is an anagram of 'the eyes'... On that thought...

| After 2 major disappointments...
Get The Hell In! Now now Gooners, no need for that...
Ah, poor Arsene...
I was genuinely gutted when I woke up that I wasn't off to the Emirates and, due to how close it is to pay-day, didn't really fancy counting my pennies at Rococo, the Royal or New Inns. So I stayed at home & watched every last second on the t'internet, and while the atmosphere wasn't as good as it could have been had I gone out, I made plenty of noise!
Arsenal will moan that they were poor, but make no mistake about it, we made them poor. For every bit as bad as they were, we were just as good. Perhaps frustratingly, for as bad as we were against Newcastle, we were as good today.
I must admit, with the chances we had, especially the penalty, I was nervous at half-time. Partly because we played THAT well that I didn't think we could play as well in the second half. In all honesty, we actually didn't; Arsenal had far more of the game than they had previously. But we were comfortable and looked electric on the break. There were a couple of times where I felt we were too deep, but that will happen when you're defending a lead, especially at a place like Arsenal, and overall we were thoroughly excellent value for the win. In all honesty, it could have been more than 2-0.
I know that we have an awful record against ManUre and next week we may well be brought back down to earth with a bang. I know the result today makes the outcome of the matches against Newcastle & Middlesborough even more irritating. But for now, let's just enjoy it. I hope this isn't the ultimate highlight of the season, as a trophy would be wonderful, but today will take some beating, whatever happens.
As angry and hurt as I was after Newcastle, I am equally delighted and proud today.

| 2 more games...
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
The Good
Top win which pretty much guarantees that we go through - in fact, I think we will win the group now. There were a fair few changes made but it didn't back-fire at all. Guzan in goal did just grand, pulling off a couple of great saves. Salifou was excellent in the 'Petrov' role, Gardner did well and was unlucky not to score. Davies and Knight both did just fine defensively and Sidwell worked very hard all over the park. The goal was a fluke but we were definitely good value for the lead at half-time. The second half was more of a defensive duty operation but it was a good win in Europe and blew away some of the cobwebs from the Newcastle game.
The Bad
So the cobwebs are back...! It wasn't as bad as the Newcastle game, in as much as the players seemed to care again this time. It came down to two ridiculous errors from Shorey and Sidwell. Now, while that is true, we didn't play great (there should have been more than one substition made... I mean, if the likes of Gardner or Salifou couldn't do better than what was going on - and I believe they could - then they may as well leave. I bet they were well bloody frustrated) and I think a draw would have been a fair result. It was a major blow and let's be honest, we have let ourselves down big-time in a way that is incredibly frustrating, because this game against Arsenal on Saturday could have been huge; it's still big, but we go could have gone there in a much stronger position. When you consider that the game after is ManUre, it's quite easy to imagine that we will have some catching up to do with the Sky 4 soon.
The Ugly
Well, he is, isn't he...
Now, for something much easier on the eye:
